For the first time, the talented Czech violinist Josef Spacek, known for his performances with major Dutch symphony orchestras such as the Residentie Orkest, forms a duo with our artist in residence, pianist Dmytro Choni. This season focuses on Sergei Rachmaninov, the famous composer born 150 years ago. Master pianist Boris Giltburg presents a fascinating double portrait, combining Rachmaninov's Preludes, op. 23 with Chopin's well-known Preludes, op. 28. These pieces are not only highlights of piano music, but also place high demands on the pianist.
