Musica Amphion - Solo concertos by Bach and Vivaldi - Early Music

Musica Amphion - Solo concertos by Bach and Vivaldi - Early Music
The members of Musica Amphion and the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century are not only excellent orchestral musicians, but also outstanding soloists. In both roles they come into their own in the solo concertos of Bach and Vivaldi. Listen to the fine fleur of both ensembles in Bach's moving Concerto for Violin, Oboe and Strings, among others. Sometimes the two instruments sound intimately entwined, then violin and oboe show their most virtuoso side. Even more challenging is Bach's Harpsichord Concerto in E, BWV 1053. In the 'Finale' the soloist is not given a beat of rest. A real bravura piece that provides a great release.

Busch Trio - Beethoven and Dvorák's 'Dumky Trio' - Piano Trio
With the Busch Trio you will make a real time travel. Pianist Omri Epstein, violinist Mathieu van Bellen and cellist Ori Epstein are fascinated by the musical culture of the first half of the twentieth century. In order to come close to the sound of that time, they have turned many old recordings gray and play their performances on gut strings. Moreover, Mathieu van Bellen plays a Guadagnini violin (1783) that was once owned by the legendary violinist Adolf Busch. Listen to piano trios by Beethoven and the famous 'Dumky trio' by Antonín Dvorák
