The members of Musica Amphion and the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century are not only excellent orchestral musicians, but also outstanding soloists. In both roles they come into their own in the solo concertos of Bach and Vivaldi. Listen to the fine fleur of both ensembles in Bach's moving Concerto for Violin, Oboe and Strings, among others. Pianist Omri Epstein, violinist Mathieu van Bellen and cellist Ori Epstein are fascinated by the musical culture of the first half of the twentieth century. In order to come close to the sound of that time, they have turned many old recordings gray and play their performances on gut strings. Moreover, Mathieu van Bellen plays a Guadagnini violin (1783) that was once owned by the legendary violinist Adolf Busch.
