  • I. Moderato
  • II. Andantino
  • III. Allegro moderato
In 1827 Schubert's collection of six 'Moments musicaux' appeared in Vienna. These pieces were mainly intended for domestic use. The first part is a graceful minuet, the second a kind of cradle song. The third movement became very popular as a loosely published piece and was given the title 'Air russe'
Fantasie in C, D 760, 'Wanderer-Fantasie'
Nino Gvetadze
Unlike the 'Moments musicaux', the 'Wanderer Fantasy' is one of Schubert's most demanding piano pieces. The four movements merge seamlessly into one another, and in order to increase the mutual coherence even further, Schubert has melodies from the first movement return in the following movements. In short, a real fantasy

  • III. Clair de lune
Debussy hated being called an Impressionist. Still, his 'Clair de lune' comes close to that qualification. The musical atmosphere is dreamy and fairy-like. Debussy borrowed the title from a poem by Paul Verlaine
L'isle joyeuse
Nino Gvetadze
L'isle joyeuse' was inspired by a painting by Watteau, 'L'embarquement pour Cythère'. A cheerful company departs by ship from or to the mythical island of Cithera, where Venus, the goddess of love, was born. The piece sounds cheerful and optimistic, with a soft longing for a world full of love, like on Cythere.
Pianosonate nr. 2, op. 14
Nino Gvetadze

  • II. Scherzo. Allegro marcato
  • III. Andante
  • IV. Vivace
The blond Russian giant' was called Prokofiev when he made his piano debut in 1918 in the United States with his 'Second Piano Sonata'. This sonata is a powerful work with enormous contrasts in style and atmosphere

Relax with world pianist Nino Gvetadze. When she sits behind the wing, she radiates an incredible calmness, which completely coincides with her play. Technical perfection combined with great inner poetry. "A born pianist, who understands the art of speaking to the heart even during the most breakneck passages", wrote NRC Handelsblad. At the Bösendorfer Imperial she 'speaks' with Schubert's tranquil 'Moments musicaux' and Prokofiev's stormy 'Second Sonata'. Once you've heard her, you want to keep listening.
