"Keys to Mozart"

"Mozart made me grow up", Daria writes on her website. No wonder that this eminent composer forms the backbone for her recital in the Edesche Concert Hall. Find out what all the played composers have to do with each other. Domenico Scarlatti's three sonatas are the forerunners of Mozart's own piano sonatas. Chopin took over Mozart's lilting melody lines and again served as an example for Skrjabin. Claude Debussy in turn was inspired by Skrjabin's exotic and mystical sounds. Listen to Daria van Bercken's musical universe with Mozart as its radiant centrepiece

Music that makes the heart beat faster
"What's in his music that makes us still listen to it?" That was the question with which the controversial pianist started her latest album 'Keys to Mozart'. "My conclusion is that there are aspects of now. Take elegance, his music is always elegant, but it is also playful, daring and always lilting. Aspects coming back everywhere, even now. "
