Yentl en de Boer is the musical-absurdist cabaret duo of the Netherlands.
Since they appeared at the Amsterdam Kleinkunst Festival without
pardon walked off with both the audience award and the coveted Wim Sonneveld Prize
went hard with their strange girl brains. Smashing hard.
They went on tour with their show The
Girls and launched their debut album The Plate. For their song "I
have known a man' from the play The Girls they received the Annie
M.G. Schmidt Prize 2014. From 2015 to 2017, they toured with their show The
candy store has closed along the Dutch theaters, for which she was in 2016
were nominated for the Neerlands Hoop. In that year they also released the
CD M'n candy: Live at The Concertgebouw out. In addition, they are also
frequently on television, such as their musical contribution to the
programs OPIUM and RTL Late Night.
After a year of writing during office hours, overly elaborate lunches and long evenings on the couch are Yentl and Christine more ready than ever to perform. Between lockdowns they already played the Campfire Sessions a few times and received rave reviews and the Annie M.G. Schmidt Award for best theater song. They won this prize previously for "I have a man known" and It is started". Press and public praise their crisp harmony vocals, strong lyrics and bizarre imagination.
