Mozart, Mahler and Korngold
Experience an evening in fairytale Vienna with the Vienna Chamber Symphony. With Mozart's world-famous overture Die Zauberflöte and a selection from Mahler's Fourth Symphony, you will hear the most beautiful music written in this city. Pianist and special guest Paolo Giacometti puts himself in Mozart's shoes at the Bösendorfer Imperial and plays his carefree Thirteenth Piano Concerto. After the break, the Vienna Chamber Symphony with Korngold's Märchenbilder dives into the fairytale world of the Brothers Grimm.
Sergio Mastro about performances in small line-up:
"It's like a postcard of a beautiful landscape. You don't have to go there yourself, but you'll see what it is. In our arrangements you recognize the original works, but you hear them in a completely different way. That's an opportunity."

The five members of the Vienna Chamber Symphony form a unique combination. All over the world, audiences are extremely enthusiastic about their concerts. The Vienna Chamber Symphony was founded in 2006 on the occasion of the Mozart year. Meanwhile, Mozart is no longer the ensemble's sole focus, but the musicians focus on the rich Viennese musical tradition. Enjoy this top Viennese ensemble with special guest pianist Paolo Giacometti
"Magisterial", "balanced", "elegant, flowing and transparent". These are just a few of the opinions in the press about the Italian-Dutch pianist Paolo Giacometti. Especially with his interpretations of Rossini's piano music he made a great impression. For the third movement of Rossini's complete piano work he received an Edison. Paolo Giacometti also received the "BBC Music Magazine's Benchmark and Performance of Outstanding Quality distinctions" for a number of his recordings. Paolo Giacometti performs worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician on both modern and historical instruments. At the Bösendorfer Imperial of the Edesche Concert Hall Paolo Giacometti is soloist in Mozart's Thirteenth Piano Concerto.
