Rosalía Gómez-Lashera
s

The Spanish pianist Rosalía Gómez-Lasheras is one of today's most talked-about talents. At the age of five she started playing the piano with the famous pedagogue Alexander Gold. In 2011 she received the Extraordinary Award from the Conservatoire of Santiago and began her studies at the Utrecht Conservatoire. She also made her debut in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and since then has toured every major venue in the Netherlands. Last year she won First Prize at the prestigious Young Pianist Foundation Competition, the competition for the world top of tomorrow. Get to know this special phenomenon in the atmospheric ambience of the Edesche Concert Hall

Debussy on the Bösendorfer ImperialRosalía

Gómez-Lasheras plays a visual, poetic and accessible programme. Debussy's prelude 'La Catédrale engloutie' (The sunken cathedral) is perhaps the most famous piece she plays. Especially because Debussy composed this work especially for the Bösendorfer Imperial. Piano specialists agree: this work sounds substantially 'deeper' on a Bösendorfer than on a regular Steinway grand piano. Convince yourself and come and listen to Rosalía's interpretation of Debussy's sunken cathedral and of course the Bösendorfer Imperial of the Edesche Concert Hall!
