Laurens van Rooyen - The American Way

Laurens van Rooyen - The American Way

Together with his regular singer Kiona ten Have, piano virtuoso Laurens van Rooyen delivers part of his life. This winner of the Golden Harp still surprises his audience with his virtuoso piano playing and his own (film) compositions. Van Rooyen released over forty-five CDs. At the conservatory he started the successful music theatre Harlekijn together with Herman van Veen. This was rapidly followed by an award-winning solo career with internationally renowned compositions, many CDs, film music and major projects. His music is not only praised in the Netherlands, but also far beyond its borders in countries such as America, South Africa, Singapore and Japan.

Kiona ten Have

Kiona ten Have is a composer and singer. From an early age she worked with Ad Maas and Frank Sauter in combination with radio Decibel and released her first single at record label EMI at the age of sixteen. Kiona has a jazz background, but is broadly oriented: from light classical music to dance/trance music. Currently she works together with Laurens van Rooyen, Geert Huinink, a number of DJ's and many others. Many of Kiona's songs were personally played by Armin van Buuren on his own radio station. The song 'Worlds which break us' was named Future Favorite.

Laurens van Rooyen - Just a simple love song

Laurens van Rooyen: "Do I pull out an existing program? Haha no, definitely not! And for one simple reason: I don't want to. I want to enter new pieces and I don't like repetition. Of course there are always existing pieces in there, those are classics that are just beautiful." Read our full interview with Laurens van Rooyen.
