Teun van de Steeg (organ) and Tineke Roseboom (soprano)
Teun van de Steeg has no other goal than "to make the music as beautiful as possible". And he prefers to let us hear something from his favourite composer, which will also be performed in the Edesche Concert Hall. "When I was at the conservatory, I was very impressed by Sigfrid Karlg-Elert. It's hard to say why the music attracted me so much, because that's something personal. But the timbres and the twists and turns appeal to me. The audience is allowed to listen to a piece in its entirety. I'd rather not applaud, it breaks the atmosphere."

Max Reger and Sigfrid Karg-Elert
With the beautiful Ypma-organ (1882) of the Edesche Concertzaal you can go in many directions. Yet the instrument is ideally suited for music by late-Romantic composers such as Max Reger and Sigfrid Karg-Elert. The Edese organist Teun van de Steeg plays the instrument in all its diversity. Small miniatures such as Reger's small Choral forks stand fraternally next to the monumental Symphonic Choral 'Jesu meine Freude' by Reger-adept Sigfrid Karg-Elert. Soprano Tineke Roseboom adapts to this exuberant colour palette in a number of intimate organ songs.
