Edesche ConcertzaalEde
The members of Musica Amphion and the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century are not only excellent orchestral musicians, but also outstanding soloists. In both roles they come into their own in the solo concertos of Bach and Vivaldi. Listen to the fine fleur of both ensembles in Bach's moving Concerto for Violin, Oboe and Strings, among others. Sometimes the two instruments sound intimately entwined, then violin and oboe show their most virtuoso side. Even more challenging is Bach's Harpsichord Concerto in E, BWV 1053. In the 'Finale' the soloist is not given a beat of rest. A real bravura piece that provides a great release.
